SmartControl HowTo

The small input box above is the so-called SmartControl box. It can be used for easy access to various parts of this site and the geocaching.com website. Note: This is a new feature and still under development. Supported commands: With GC-waypoint or location: map, cachemap, near, activity With GC-waypoint: gc, print, logs, log With nickname: stats, mail, hidden, found, profile With (optional) TB code: track, tb With some text: search, fullsearch Without parameters: my, pq, bm, wl, seek Other websites/forums: gcat, af, sf, tf Otherwise a cache waypoint/title search will be performed. Examples: "map Kapfenberg", "near GCPNMZ", "fullsearch Munition", "stats m.w." For easier access it's possible to add it directly to your browser: Internet Explorer, FireFox: Click here to add as a search engine FireFox address bar: Right-click the box, choose "Add a keyword", pick one - now you can search from your address bar by prefixing your search with the chosen keyword Opera: Right-click the box, choose "Create search" and pick a keyword (or define as a search engine) - now you can search from your address bar by prefixing your search with the chosen keyword
