An RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feed is a way to publish frequently updated content to users in the form of an XML file. This XML file can be read with either some sort of client application or a web based feed aggregator. This reader application fetches the RSS feed file every few minutes and immediately notifies the user of changes to the content of a feed.
